Arteriogram

Arteriograms are performed by inserting a catheter into a large blood vessel and injecting a contrast dye. The contrast dye makes the blood vessels visible on the X-ray image.

An arteriogram can reveal many arteries, including those in the legs, kidneys, brain, and heart. A cerebral arteriogram examines blood vessels in the brain, head, or neck.
